The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) website (www.miros.gov.my) was compromised on the specified date. The attacker, known as Senorita from the hacker group Cyber Serpents, defaced the main page of the site.

The Proof of Concept for this attack involved exploiting a SQL Injection vulnerability. SQL Injection allows attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands through an input field, potentially exposing or altering data.

The reason for the attack was cited as “Political reasons,” indicating that the motivation behind the defacement was related to political issues or statements.
