The attacker used an SSH server intrusion to gain access to the website. SSH (Secure Shell) server intrusions typically involve exploiting vulnerabilities or weak credentials to access and control a server remotely. Once inside, the attacker can modify or deface the website.
The reason for this attack was given as “As a challenge,” suggesting that the hacker’s objective was to test their abilities or breach a secure system for personal achievement rather than for any malicious intent.
